SEVEN SPRINGS -- Senior forward Jamerion Dawson scored 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds on Tuesday night to lead Spring Creek past East Central 2A foe James Kenan, 63-50, at "The Swamp."

Junior guard Landon Smothers also factored for the hosts, scoring 17 points and hauling in four boards. Dominique Morse added 13 points and four rebounds, while Christian Yarbrough finished with 10 points and three assists.

Spring Creek, which has won three in a row after a bizarre holiday turn saw it lose six straight, moved to 8-9 overall this season and 4-4 in league play with the victory.

The Gators next see the floor on Friday, when they travel to face league powerhouse Clinton High.
