NEW BERN -- Channing Williams scored 16 points and added three assists as Eastern Wayne turned back ECC 3A foe New Bern on Wednesday night. Her play was complemented by Myesha Best, who finished with 15 points and three rebounds.
Ziomara Williams also reached double figures for the Lady Dubs, scoring 10 points. She also hauled in seven rebounds. Breanna Williams contributed a solid all-around effort, compiling four points, six boards, two blocks, two steals and a pair of assists.
Syeedah Humphrey paced New Bern (5-9, 2-3 ECC) with 12 points.
The victory moved Eastern Wayne to 13-4 overall this season, and 5-2 in league play. It next sees the floor on Friday versus league-leading South Central.
