DUDLEY -- Sophomore David Brewer scored a team-high 16 points on Friday during Southern Wayne's nail-biting setback to ECC 3A foe D.H. Conley.
Demetric and Deandre Wright also factored prominently for the hosts, scoring 12 points apiece. Senior forward Shawntwon Leach finished with eight points, while Wilcliff Senatus tallied seven points.
Southern Wayne now stands 3-12 on the season, and 2-2 in ECC play. It returns to the floor next Thursday at C.B. Aycock.
