Wrestling --C.B. Aycock finishes sixth in Falcon Invitational

PIKEVILLE -- Charles B. Aycock, playing host to 19 area wrestling outfits, logged a sixth-place finish on Friday at the Falcon Invitational.
Western Harnett collected the overall triumph, while Athens Drive finished in second place.
Zach Creel (29-6) and junior Devin Maldonado (27-5) both earned second-place finishes in their respective weight classes, while senior Austin Doyle finished in third place in the event for the third consecutive year.
He pinned Tyler Middledorf of Panther Creek with just 10 seconds remaining in his match. Doyle is now 31-4 on the season.
Up next for CBA is a tri-match at Eastern Wayne on Wednesday.
