KINSTON -- The one-two punch of Jala Holloman and Lexi Jeffreys acted swiftly and decisively on Friday, playing well from the outset to pace Wayne Country Day's rout of Bethel Christian.
Holloman finished with 13 points and five steals, while Jeffreys controlled matters in the paint, scoring 12 points.
"The girls came out and played very well from the opening tip," said WCDS head coach David Flowers. "Defensively, we looked very good."
Now 9-2 on the season, WCDS next faces Eastern Wayne on Thursday at New Hope.
