KINSTON -- Cole Atwood made five three-pointers and Linwood Grandy scored 14 points as Wayne Country Day cruised to a lopsided road triumph on Friday versus Bethel Christian Academy.
Javon Outlaw also scored 10 points for the Chargers, who moved to 7-4 on the season. Atwood finished with 15 points.
"Our defense was terrific in this game," said WCDS head coach David Flowers. "We were able to put a lot of pressure on the ball and did a great job getting out in transition... Cole hit three straight three-pointers to start the game, and we hit nine total as a team."
Wayne Country Day next sees the floor on Wednesday versus Fayetteville Academy at Greenfield School in Wilson.
