A cold shooting night plagued Eastern Wayne during its ECC 3A tilt with D.H. Conley on Tuesday.
"We played hard and fought to the very end," head coach Michael Gurganus said. "We got open looks, just couldn't get them to fall."
Nyesha Best finished with 11 points, four rebounds and two assists. Brianna Autman provided 10 points and seven rebounds, while Ziomara WIlliams chipped in eight points and 10 boards.
Myesha Best rounded out the Warriors' effort with eight points.
Eastern Wayne (6-2, 0-1) is the guest of non-conference foe South Lenoir tonight.
