PIKEVILLE -- Coe Jordan's goal in the 75th minute heightened the drama on Tuesday evening, but Charles B. Aycock couldn't get the final one it needed to force overtime versus ECC foe New Bern.
The Powder Blues, who trailed the length of the match and were down 3-0 with just 12 minutes remaining, formed their rally on the strength of Jordan's one-timer and a boot from Christian Sexton in the 68th minute.
David McKiever and Zach Naughton provided assists for CBA, who fell to 14-4 overall (8-4 ECC).
New Bern emerged as the league champion with an overall mark of 10-0-1.
