PREP TENNIS: Reeves has solid day for CBA

Charles B. Aycock started Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference play with a 7-2 victory over New Bern on Tuesday afternoon.
Karlyn Ray, Lexi Reeves, Hannah Tyndall and Michaela Boyd each won in straight-set fashion in singles play for the Golden Falcons. Reeves, who played at the No. 4 flight, dropped only one game.
Meredith Jones-Grayson Lane, Ray-Reeves and Abbie Shackleford-Sophia Gumbish each picked up a doubles point. Ray-Reeves posted a shutout at the No. 2 slot.
