PREP VOLLEYBALL: Spring Creek claims 4-set win

SEVEN SPRINGS -- Fernanda Martinez posted six kills as Spring Creek turned back North Duplin 25-20, 25-20, 21-25, 25-20 in non-conference play Monday afternoon.
Martinez also served four aces.
Madison Sullivan passed a team-high six assists. Shae Odom collected five aces, while Virginia Edmondson collected two blocks.
Taylor Walker paced a balanced North Duplin offensive attack with seven kills. Teammates Kenzie Taylor, Callie Thornton and Cassy King posted six kills apiece.
Anna Thornton distributed 18 assists among six hitters during the four-set road affair.
King served six of the Rebels' 10 aces.
Taylor and Thornton combined for four blocks.
North Duplin (2-1 overall) entertains Lejeune on Thursday. The Gators are the guests of Rosewood today.
