• Volleyball: Goldsboro d. Hobbton 21-25, 25-18, 15-7 -- Grace Tart paced the Cougars with five service aces and three kills. Goldsboro (1-0 overall) entertains Beddingfield today.
• Volleyball: Southern Wayne d. Fike 25-17, 23-25, 25-19 -- Kelly Dail and Morgan Kennedy served five aces apiece. Alissa Meadows pounded out five kills. The Saints improved to 1-1 overall this season.
