GOLF: Goldsboro Municipal to host CGA event

More than 100 golfers are expected to tee it up Friday morning at Goldsboro Municipal Golf Course for a Carolinas Golf Association sectional qualifying tournament.
Goldsboro's Carl Floars tees off at 11:40 a.m.
The top 28 finishers, including ties, advance to the Carolinas Junior Boys Championships. The next 40 golfers and those who post tying scores, punch their ticket to the Dogwood State Junior Championship.
The par-71 layout is set up to play 6,254 yards from the gold tees.
