1A NCISAA BASEBALL: Wayne Christian ousted from playoffs

MERRY HILL -- Wayne Christian bolted to a two-run lead after its first at-bat of the game, but unbeaten -- and top-seeded --Lawrence Academy claimed a 5-2 win in the semifinals of the NCISAA 1-A playoffs Tuesday afternoon.
Lawrence faces Kerr-Vance in the best-of-three championship series, which begins Friday.
Levi Suggs spearheaded the Eagles' 10-hit attack with a 3-for-4 effort. Holden Foster (RBI) and Ted Suggs contributed two hits apiece. Will White (RBI), Jaxon Anderson (RBI) and Jaxon Bauer each registered one hit.
Foster started on the mound and yielded four runs on one hit and three walks. Ted Suggs hurled 3 2/3 innings of four-hit, five-strikeout relief.
