SOFTBALL: WCS maintains hot streak

Wayne Christian continued its winning streak by defeating Community Christian 15-5 in a mercy-rule victory.
WCS tallied 10 hits -- six of which were extra base hits. That includes a double by Abbe Harris, two doubles by Bri Verme, a home run and a double by Abigail Kornegay, and a triple by Grace Bailey. Bailey notched the win on the mound and completed two innings before Verme came on in relief. Bailey had three strikeouts while Verme had six.
WCS (15-2) faces New Life on Friday.
