BASEBALL: Eagles dominate Neuse Charter

SMITHFIELD -- Rosewood put its foot on the gas early and pounded Neuse Charter in a 17-0 mercy-rule victory on Tuesday evening.
The Eagles scored 10 runs in the first two innings. As a team, Rosewood recorded 17 hits. Kolby Harris, Derek Neal and Wyatt Searles each hit a home run. Chance Howard, Harris (three RBI), Tucker Chapin (two RBI), Tanner Bradley (three RBI) and Searles (three RBI) led the team with two hits apiece
Eagles' pitcher Max White went five innings, allowed one hit, walked three batters and struck out 11.
Rosewood (18-4, 12-1 CC) travels to Princeton on Thursday.
