SUMTER, S.C. -- University of Mount Olive's Kevin Coghill, for the third straight year, has been named the Conference Carolinas men's tennis coach-of-the-year.
Coghill has won four COY awards in the past five years.
The Trojans shared the regular-season title, their fourth in a row, with Limestone (SC) College and in-state rival Belmont Abbey this season. All three teams filed 9-1 worksheets, but UMO received the No. 1 seed for the conference tournament based on tiebreakers.
Sophomores Jose Cortijos and Martin Moser drew nods to the all-Conference Carolinas first team. Cortijos-Sousa were also selected to the all-CC doubles team.
Teamates Martim Sousa and Ogulcan Deniz were all-CC second-team recipients. Sousa is a three-time all-CC selection.
UMO faced eighth-seeded Pfeiffer U at 9 this morning on the Sumter Palmetto Tennis Center.
