* Baseball: Rosewood 10, Lakewood 0 (5 inn.) -- Tanner McKeel batted 3-for-4 with an RBI during the Eagles' road win Tuesday afternoon. Patrick Jones contributed two hits and an RBI. Will Albert (RBI), DeVante Phillips (RBI), Tanner Capps (RBI), Connor Wise, Wyatt Searles and Logan Price (RBI) contributed one hit apiece. Jones and Wise each stole a base. McKeel limited the Leopards to one hit and filed nine strikeouts in four innings on the hill. Searles struck out the side in the fifth. Rosewood climbed to 10-0-1 overall and 5-0 in Carolina 1-A Conference play.

* Baseball: C.B. Aycock 11, Southern Wayne 1 (5 inn.) -- the Golden Falcons' Davis Carroll doubled twice and drove in a team-high three RBI during his 3-for-4 effort on Tuesday afternoon. Kaleb Moore batted 2-for-4 with an RBI. Noah Honrine (two RBI), Rowan Watt, Jakob Prebe (RBI), Christian Brady and Trey Smith (RBI) each supplied one hit. Dilda threw a complete-game five-hitter and posted three strikeouts.
