BOYS' TRACK: EW's Royal enjoying solid season

GREENVILLE -- Eastern Wayne's Yeonte Royal emerged victorious in two individual events during an Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference meet contested at J.H. Rose.
Royal posted top-place marks of 5 feet, 10 inches in the high jump and 18 feet, 5 1/2 inches in the long jump.
William Smith claimed the triple jump with a first-place distance of 38-5. Jaylan Graham bested the field in the 110-meter hurdles (16.3 seconds), while Jaylin Speight won the 300 hurdles in 45.7 seconds.
The Warriors' 4x8 relay of Rudy Spears, Malexen Joseph, Angus Dove and Andy Lewis crossed the line with a meet-winning time of 9:23.8.
