SOFTBALL: Rebels' Santos hurls first career no-hitter

CALYPSO -- Alyssa Santos hurled her first career no-hitter as North Duplin blanked county rival James Kenan, 10-0, in Carolina 1-A Conference play Thursday evening.
Santos retired 12 Tigers on strikeouts and issued one walk inside the circle.
Natalie Ramirez and Rayanna Koch pounded out two hits apiece for the Rebels, who remained unbeaten in three outings this season. Courtney Brock, Maddie Swinson, Haley Brogden and Kenzie Taylor each contributed one hit.
The Rebels are the guests of Rosewood next Tuesday.
