BASEBALL: Saints' Casbarro smashes walk-off, grand-slam HR

DUDLEY -- Jack Casbarro smashed a walk-off grand-slam home run in the bottom of the seventh inning, and Southern Wayne knocked off New Bern, 10-6, in Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference play Thursday evening.
It was Casbarro's lone hit of the game.
Aryc Chrisman (two RBI), Manny Walker (RBI), Matthew Stott (RBI) and Josh Grady rapped out two hits apiece for the Saints. Lance Wise (RBI), Kolby Anderson and Dylan Whitley (RBI) each provided one hit.
Chrisman started on the bump and surrendered six unearned runs on four hits in six innings. He sat down four New Bern batters on strikeouts. Derek Holsinger earned the win in relief.
Stott, Holsinger and Wise each had a stolen base.
The Saints travel to C.B. Aycock today.
