BASEBALL: Error-free Dogs defeat Wildcats

NEWTON GROVE -- Tanner Flowers threw a one-hitter and retired eight Hobbton batters on strikeouts, lifting Princeton to a 10-0 mercy-rule win on the Carolina 1-A Conference scene Thursday evening.
Wildcat starter Gage Herring held the Bulldogs hitless for three innings. Hobbton's three relievers combined to allow 12 hits, including multi-hit performances from Woodard, Will Gurganious, Nathan Ramby and Anthony Jones.
Blake Sapp batted 1-for-4 with three RBI.
Princeton played error-free defense.
