RED OAK -- Chris Turner doubled and plated three runs as Charles B. Aycock handed Big East 3-A member Northern Nash a 7-1, non-conference loss at Death Valley on Friday evening.

Turner smacked a three-RBI double in the six-run, second-inning explosion for the Golden Falcons. Luke Frederick provided a two-run single, and Blake Gipson had an RBI double.

Gipson ended the day 2-for-4.

Chandler Matthews started on the bump and limited the Knights to two hits in three innings. Jordan Gay, who earned the mound win, threw three innings of four-strikeout relief. Frederick provided two innings of two-hit, one-strikeout relief.

The Golden Falcons (2-0 overall) visit Rosewood on Tuesday. First pitch is 5 p.m.
