GIRLS' BASKETBALL: Terry Sanford rolls past CBA

FAYETTEVILLE -- Cassandra Lassiter knocked down 11 points during Charles B. Aycock's season-ending loss to Terry Sanford in the N.C. High School Athletic Association 3-A playoffs Tuesday evening.
Tanika Powell added five points, dished out a team-leading eight assists and snared six rebounds in her final game. Lexi Edmundson recorded four points and three rebounds. Arlanda Faulkner pulled down a team-leading 10 rebounds.
Destiny Washington had eight rebounds, while Victoria Patanaude grabbed six caroms.
CBA shot 25 percent (10 of 40) from the floor.
The Golden Falcons ended the year 12-12 overall.
