GIRLS' BASKETBALL: Rose eliminates EW from ECC 3A-4A tournament

GREENVILLE -- Myesha Best led a balanced offensive attack with 10 points during Eastern Wayne's 60-38, semifinal-round loss to J.H. Rose in the Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference tournament Wednesday evening.
Rayna Gibson scored nine points, followed by Nyesha Best with six points. Channing Williams and Treycie Ford tallied five and four points, respectively.
The Warriors (17-8 overall) return to action next Tuesday in the N.C. High School Athletic Association 3-A playoffs. First-round pairings and game times will be announced Saturday.
