BOYS' BASKETBALL: Oates' 34-point outing lifts Wayne Christian

GREENVILLE -- Darrian Oates turned in a 34-point performance during Wayne Christian's 79-76 conquest of Pope John Paul II on the Coastal Plains Independent 1-A Conference scene Tuesday.
Oates pulled down 11 rebounds, dished out six assists and collected seven steals in the road win.
Marteye Sembley provided 25 points. DJ Waters dropped in 11 points. Rayshawn Wellington supplied seven rebounds. Logan Jackson and Austin Kornegay grabbed five rebounds apiece.
