SWIMMING: Rosewood's Fitzmaurice wins 100 breaststroke

CLINTON -- Rosewood's Rebecca Fitzmaurice emerged victorious in the girls' 100-yard breaststroke during a multi-team meet hosted by Clinton High School.
Fitzmaurice touched the wall first in 1 minute, 21.39 seconds.
Dalton Ira claimed the 200 free in 2:04.7 and easily topped the competition with a first-place effort of 5:41.71 in the 500 free.
Jack Lyon posted meet-winning times of 2:14.67 in the 200 individual medley (IM) and 100 free (53.48). Ira, Lyon, Damon Merritt and Owen Blevins finished second in the 200 free relay.
The Eagles' foursome of Elaina Amy, Siera Dietz, Kaley Hilton and Jennifer Sutton took positions 4-8 in the girls' 50-meter freestyle.
