* Boys' basketball: Ayden-Grifton 46, C.B. Aycock 41 -- AliJuan Moore emerged as the Golden Falcons' top scorer with 16 points. Alec Bryan and Jaylan Robinson supplied six points apiece.
* Boys' basketball: Spring Creek 51, South Lenoir 33 -- Daquan Bynum led the visiting Gators with 15 points. Demartae Bizzell chipped in 14.
Middle schools
* Boys' basketball: Parrott Academy 39, Wayne Christian 26 -- No additional details were available.
* Girls' basketball: Parrott Academy 26, Wayne Christian 14 -- Brianna Verme paced the Eagles' offense with a team-leading 11 points. Kaylee Martin provided three points. Wayne Christian (1-3 overall) visits Grace Christian-Sanford next Monday.
* Girls' basketball: Greenwood 49, Brogden 13 -- Aleesha Boyette paced the T-birds' offense with 31 points. Na'Tjaih Jones added eight points. Tylisha Maye knocked down eight points for Brogden.
* Boys' basketball: Greenwood 51, Brogden 22 -- Jayquan Curry tallied 17 points during the T-birds' road win. Noah Wilder supplied 12 points. Greenwood is the guest of Spring Creek on Thursday.
