TRACK AND FIELD: Area teams compete at super meet

SALEMBURG -- The Rosewood boys' indoor track and field team finished second overall at the 1-A/2-A super meet held at Lakewood on Wednesday.
The Spring Creek and Princeton boys finished seventh and eighth overall, respectively. On the girls' side, Rosewood, Spring Creek and Princeton finished seventh, eighth and ninth, respectively.
First-place finishers from Rosewood include Sydney Reiss who won the 300m, Amrei Atwell who won the 55m hurdles, Hayden Maldonado who won the 3200m and Kris Wright who won the high jump.
Top-three participants from Spring Creek include Emily Dupuy who finished second in the 55m dash and third in the high jump, Jamal Davis who finished third in the boys' high jump and James Thigpen who finished third in the 300m dash.
Top-three participants from Princeton include Brent Hurst who finished second in the 500m.
