GIRLS' BASKETBALL: Roberts has 23-point outing

DUDLEY -- Makayla Roberts sizzled the nets for 23 points during Goldsboro's 54-53, non-conference triumph over county rival Southern Wayne on Wednesday evening.
Destiny Lucas tallied 13 points, followed by Tziah Kelly with 10. Ruby Cannon contributed eight points.
Ebony Fuller emerged as the Saints' offensive leader with 16 points. Iyahna and Samiya Bess scored nine points apiece.
Southern Wayne (1-2 overall) visits Northern Nash on Monday.
