BASKETBALL: Sembley leads Wayne Christian past Goldsboro Heat

Marteye Sembley torched the nets for a team-high 26 points during Wayne Christian's season-opening, 73-61 victory over the Goldsboro Heat inside Clifford Gym.
Reyshawn Wellington just missed a double-double with 10 points and eight rebounds. Darrian Oates contributed 13 points. DJ Waters and Josiah Simmons scored eight points apiece.
Logan Jackson pulled down five rebounds.
Jaxon Anderson and Waters combined for five assists.
