WILMINGTON -- Dedric Byrd and redshirt freshman Armond Griebe pumped in 15 points apiece during University of Mount Olive's 117-65 loss to in-state rival UNC Wilmington on Sunday afternoon.
It was the Trojans' lone exhibition game of the preseason.
Freshman Saiquan Jamison snared seven rebounds in 16 minutes of action. Junior Tayon Gleaves provided 10 points, five steals, three assists and three rebounds.
UNCW held the Trojans to 24 percent shooting (8 of 33) from the floor in the opening half. UMO shot 55 percent (18 of 33) from the floor during the second half.
The Trojans launch their 2016-17 campaign next Friday against Augusta (Ga.) University in the annual 45 Second Classic at Barton College. UMO faces Young Harris College on Saturday.
