* Volleyball: Rosewood d. Spring Creek 25-22, 28-26 -- Rylee Myers dished out 21 assists and added a kill during the Eagles' straight-set home win. Allana Atwell and Miyah McCall provided six kills apiece. Maddie Honn had five kills. RHS head coach Jennifer Cochran chose Myers as the "player of the game." McKinley Edmondson led the Gators' offensive charge with three aces, six assists and one kill. Mikayla Price logged two aces, four digs, one kill and one block. Emily Dupuy supplied one assist, three digs, five kills and one block.
* Volleyball: Princeton d. North Duplin 2-1 -- Kalli Jones led the Bulldogs' offense with five kills. Reanna Braswell added four kills. Lily Eklund dished out four assists.
* Volleyball: J.H. Rose d. Eastern Wayne 25-17, 25-10 -- Demya Yelverton and Bethany Williams cranked out two kills apiece for the Warriors. Rayven Smith had two solo blocks. Williams registered 10 digs.
* Volleyball: Goldsboro d. Kinston 25-10, 26-24 -- Garyn Taylor dished out 15 assists during the Cougars' straight-set win. Addie Shirley pounded out seven kills. Nikki Olmsted served five aces. The Cougars entertain South Lenoir on Tuesday.
Middle schools
* Volleyball: Grantham d. Wayne School of Engineering 25-14, 25-16, 25-23 -- Alissa Meadows paced the Bulldogs' offense with team highs in aces (6) and kills (5). Morgan Kennedy provided four kills and five aces. Abbey Parker and Allie Lane combined for five kills. Grantham (6-1 overall, 2-0 WCMSAC Division II) plays host to Greenwood on Monday. WSE is the guest of Rosewood next Thursday.
* Volleyball: Norwayne d. Brogden 25-7, 25-11, 25-10 -- The Cobras improved to 7-0 overall and will entertain Spring Creek next Tuesday.
* Volleyball: Spring Creek d. Eastern Wayne 25-16, 25-18, 25-16 -- Virginia Edmondson served a team-leading five aces in the Gators' three-set sweep of the Warriors. Alissa Price recorded two aces. Edmondson, Price and Taylor Smith each had one kill. Spring Creek (5-2 overall, 2-0 WCMSAC Division I) entertains Dillard on Monday.
