BOYS' SOCCER: North Duplin cruises past Neuse Charter

CALYPSO -- Gustavo Velasquez notched a hat trick (three goals) as North Duplin shut out Neuse Charter, 5-0, in their Carolina 1-A Conference game played at H.E. Grubbs Field on Wednesday.
Wilber Velasquez added two goals and one assist for the Rebels, who improved to 4-6-1 overall this season.
Dario Castenada provided one assist.
ND goalie Raul Romero recorded six saves.
"We played well tonight," Rebels head coach James Foster said. "Our younger players got some good experience tonight."
The Rebels entertain Lakewood on Monday.
