VOLLEYBALL: Lakewood cruises past North Duplin

CALYPSO -- Lakewood dealt North Duplin a 25-18, 25-20, 25-19 loss in Carolina 1-A Conference play Tuesday evening.
Haley Brogden pounded out seven kills and collected nine digs for the Rebels, who slipped to 3-10 overall and 2-7 against league opposition this season. Taylor Walker and Kenzie Taylor provided four blocks apiece.
Brooke Cottle served two aces.
Anna Thornton passed out 13 assists.
