Results: 2016 AAU Karate Nationals

Earlier this month, the GOKarate dojo of Sensei Jason Adams competed in the 2016 AAU National Karate Championships in Orlando, Fl. The competition featured teams from across the globe, including Romania, Poland, Egypt, Canada and the Czech Republic.
Team GOKarate, competing in weapons (long and short), kumite (fighting) and kata, accumulated 20 medals during the 10-day event. Furthermore, the dojo was recognized by the AAU as one of the top 20 schools in the United States for 2016.
The following students won medals:
* Shepherd Cowan -- 6th (kata).
* Jorja Valentine -- Bronze (kumite); 4th (weapons).
* Nathanial Warren -- 4th (kumite).
* Michael Barnes -- Silver (kumite).
* Hannah Adams -- Silver (short weapons); 4th (long weapons); 5th (kata); 5th kumite (Ippon and WUKF).
* Kylee Adams -- Bronze (short weapons); bronze (kumite); 5th (long weapons).
* India Fields -- Bronze (kumite); 4th (weapons).
* Emily Pate -- Gold (weapons); silver (kumite); bronze (kata).
* Aidan Widener -- Gold (weapons); bronze (kumite); bronze (kata).
* Jasmine Coley -- Bronze (kumite).
* Trent Petersen Jr. -- Gold (weapons, kumite, kata).
* Sensei Jason Adams -- Gold (long weapon); silver (short weapon); 4th (kata).
* Sensei Anne Adams -- Gold (long weapon); silver (short weapon); 4th (kata).
