WCJA: Bartlett points leader among 14-Older group

Austin Green claimed medalist honors with a nine-hole round of 40 on the Goldsboro Municipal Golf Course links and St. Andrews University signee Blake Bartlett remained the overall points leader after third-round play in the 2016 Wayne County Junior Amateur Championships.
Bartlett, who carded a 41, leads Green 23-18 in total points in the Boys' 14-Older Division. Bryce Jones, the reigning Wayne County Golf Champion, did not play and kept third place with 16.8 points.
Daniel Barnes ranks fourth with 16 points.
Kelly Lewis, of Wayne Country Day, turned in a 42. She has a 24-20 advantage in the points chase over Rosewood's Shamayah Revis, who advanced to the N.C. High School Athletic Association Classes 1-A/2-A state tournament.
Matt Coltran emerged as the medalist with a 42 in the Boys' 12-13 Division. He trails points leader Christian Edwards 21.5-16. Braxton Flores is third at 12.5 points.
Brayden McKee shot a low round of 46 in the Co-Ed 9-11 Division. Blake Easom leads the group with 20.5 points. Aaron Ingram is second with 16 points, followed by Karsyn Hannett with 15.
Collyn Smith won the round at GMGC and jumped into first place with 21 points -- five more than Ella Hannett, who led after two rounds, but did not play.
