Warriors' tennis season ends at Chapel Hill

CHAPEL HILL -- Dylan March dropped a three-set affair at No. 1 singles as Eastern Wayne endured a season-ending, 6-0 loss to Chapel Hill in second-round play of the N.C. High School Athletic Association Class 3-A dual-team playoffs Tuesday.
March fell to top-seeded David Mirzoyan 1-6, 6-3, 0-1 (10-6).
"(I'm) so proud of our team's effort today and throughout the year," EW head coach Craig Hassell said. "Dylan and Le Solomon turned in particulary strong performances. This was a great experience for our team to play high-level tennis and we had great parent/faculty support all year."
It was the final match for EW sseniors -- Solomon, Army West Point appointee Gray Sasser, Cameron Martin and Ethan Quinn.
The Warriors ended the year 12-4.
