HIGH POINT -- Barton College senior Rachel Jordan, a graduate of Charles B. Aycock, earned first-team all-Conference Carolinas in softball.
The utility player appeared in 21 games at third base, 14 games at first base and eight at shorstop. She batted .327 with 19 RBI, 21 runs scored and two home runs.
Jordan's top offensive performance of the season occurred during a three-game stretch against Erskine (S.C.) and Emmanuel (Ga.) College. She batted 5-for-6 with three doubles, a home run, three runs scored and five RBI.
A four-year starter, Jordan has played in 150-plus games for the Bulldogs.
Earlier this month, Jordan was selected to the Conference Carolinas All-Academic team -- an award she earned for the second straight year.
The eighth-seeded Bulldogs played third-seeded Mount Olive in an elimination-round game earlier today in Burlington. The two teams each suffered a one-run defeat.
