* Girls' soccer: Wayne Country Day 3, Arendell-Parrott Academy 1 -- Lillian Freeman notched the eventual game-winning goal off a double assist from Langley Barnes and Janae Jones during non-conference play Wednesday afternoon. Barnes added a second goal off an assist from Abby Skinner. Jennifer Potts tallied the Chargers' first goal of the game. Wayne Country Day concluded its season 6-0-1 overall.
* Baseball: Wayne Country Day 13, Arendell-Parrott Academy 8 -- Ryan Hopes, Caleb Brewer and James Thompson each had two hits in the Chargers' road win. WCDS had 10 hits overall and survived five errors defensively. Jack Talton earned the pitching win. Wayne Country Day (8-3 overall) puts its five-game win streak on the line Today at Wayne Christian.
