North Lenoir doubles up Greene Central

La GRANGE -- Garrett Letchworth earned a no-decision on the mound despite a 12-strikeout, three-hit effort during North Lenoir's 8-4 conquest of Eastern Carolina 2-A Conference rival Greene Central on Tuesday evening.
The Rams plated three runs against Letchworth. Braxton Greene tossed two innings of two-hit, two-strikeout relief as the Hawks remained unbeaten in six ECC outings this season.
Greene delivered three hits at the plate. Letchworth, Zach Turner, Will Braxton and Allen Sutton recorded two hits apiece.
Tyler Horner swatted a solo home run for Greene Central. Teammate Dane Hedgepeth batted 1-for-2 with two RBI. Cole Lanier endured the pitching loss.
North Lenoir (10-6 overall) faces Ayden-Grifton on Friday, while Greene Central (7-13, 3-4) plays host to Kinston the same evening.
