Wayne Country Day tennis defeats Ridgecroft

Wayne Country Day snapped a three-match skid with a 9-0, non-conference triumph over Ahoskie Ridgecroft on Wednesday afternoon.
Sam Dively, Preston Edwards, Hunter Hawkins, Young Wang, Charlie Dees and Lance Davis each grabbed a singles point. Dively did not lose a game at No. 1 singles, while Edwards logged a 6-1, 6-0 decision at the No. 2 spot.
Dively-Edwards, Hawkins-Wang and Dees-Davis completed the sweep in doubles.
The Chargers (3-4 overall) entertain Burlington School on Friday.
