J.H. Rose escapes Southern Wayne in 8 innings

DUDLEY -- Tyler Brock swatted a home run and finished with three hits during Southern Wayne's 10-8, eight-inning loss to Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference rival J.H. Rose.
Brock collected an RBI.
Josh Jernigan doubled twice in a 3-for-5, two-RBI effort. Derek Holsinger cranked out two hits and drove in three runs. Hunter Barwick batted 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Each starter in the SW lineup recorded at least one hit.
However, the Saints' defense couldn't overcome nine errors. Jernigan endured the pitching loss.
Southern Wayne (3-6 overall, 0-3 ECC) travels to D.H. Conley today.
