New Hanover takes pair from Saints

WILMINGTON -- New Hanover completed its two-game, regular-season sweep of Southern Wayne with a 4-2 victory Friday afternoon.
Lambert Long and Burke Estes each had two hits for the Wildcats, who remained unbeaten in five outings this season.
Aryc Chrisman, Josh Jernigan, Derek Holsinger and Cole Barwick (RBI) each had one hit for the Saints. Jack Casbarro stole a base and knocked in a run.
Lance Wise took the pitching loss.
One day earlier, Barwick and Noah Horton each batted 1-for-2 during the Saints' 2-1 loss to New Hanover on the Doyle Whitfield Athletic Complex diamond.
Chrisman plated SW's lone run with a sacrifice fly.
The Saints return to action Wednesday at Greene Central.
