Faith Christian defeats Trinity of Fayetteville in baseball

Faith Christian Academy turned a game-ending double play and turned back Trinity Christian-Fayetteville, 7-5, on Friday afternoon.
Officials called the game due to darkness.
The Conquerors fell behind early, but manufactured seven second-inning runs on four walks, a hit batsman and two base hits.
FCA's David Parrish, Christian Mills and Daniel Thompson concluded the game with one hit apiece. The trio combined for three walks.
Freshman Cooper Voeller started on the mound. Alex Watson took over in relief and tossed a four-hitter. He yielded five runs (three earned) and retired five Trinity batters on strikeouts.
The Conquerors (2-3 overall) travel to Greenville Christian on Monday for a N.C. Christian Schools Association 2-A District 4 game.
