PLAYOFFS: Best scores 18 in Aycock's season-ending loss

MEBANE -- Ian Best knocked down 18 points in Charles B. Aycock's 83-49 loss to top-seeded Eastern Alamance in opening-round action of the N.C. High School Athletic Association Class 3-A playoffs Tuesday evening.
Cameron Kornegay collected nine points, followed by Tyrique Ford with eight. Keyshawn Cobb provided six points.
The Golden Falcons finished the year 9-17 overall.
