* Boys' basketball: Goldsboro 71, South Lenoir 52 -- Aaron Smith led four Cougars in double figures with 22 points. Damien Brown added 16 points. DeQuan Bynum and Jarrad Scott collected 13 points apiece.

* Girls' basketball: South Lenoir 29, Goldsboro 17 -- Dajah Teachey emerged as the Cougars' top scorer with 10 points.

* Girls' basketball: New Bern 26, C.B. Aycock 12 -- The host Bears held the Golden Falcons to four second-half points. Taylor Gay and Kania Slocum knocked four points apiece for CBA. Teammates Morgan Casey and Darilyn Lancaster each had two points.

* Boys' basketball: C.B. Aycock 25, New Bern 24 -- Kamarion Graham and Marquez Farmer supplied six points apiece in the Golden Falcons' road win. Jordan Woodard and Greg Jones each had four points.

* Boys' basketball: Wayne Christian 95, Lee Christian 81 -- Logan Jackson posted a double-double -- 10 points, 13 rebounds -- and blocked six shots in the Eagles' regular-season finale. Jaxon Anderson contributed 16 points, five rebounds, three steals, seven blocked shots and four assists. Will White provided 15 points and seven rebounds. Jaydon Young had 11 points and five rebounds. Micaiah Singletary (13 points, eight rebounds, four steals), Justin Ashford (13 points, seven rebounds), Gavin Wiley (eight points, three rebounds), Jeremy Bently (five points, eight rebounds), Austin Strickland (two points, four rebounds) and Junior Tabe (two points, four rebounds, two blocked shots) also contributed to the win.
