Lakewood girls edge North Duplin in overtime

SALEMBURG -- Lakewood squeezed out a 41-39 overtime win over North Duplin in Carolina 1-A Conference action Tuesday evening.
Rylee Pate poured in 16 points for the visiting Rebels. Shaily McCarty added 11 points. Kenzie Taylor and Courtney Brock contributed four points apiece.
North Duplin (2-12 overall) entertains North Duplin on Friday.
