Lakewood girls build big lead, ease past North Duplin

CALYPSO -- Lakewood bolted to a 16-point lead after one period and cruised past North Duplin, 76-33, in Carolina 1-A Conference play Thursday evening.
Rylee Pate led the host Rebels with 13 points. Shaily McCarty scored eight points, followed by Courtney Brock with seven.
North Duplin (1-5 overall, 1-1 CC) returns to action Dec. 29 against East Duplin in the Duplin County Holiday Tournament.
