Lakewood boys knock off North Duplin

CALYPSO -- Travaye Darden led four North Duplin players in double figures with 19 points during an 80-64 loss to Carolina 1-A Conference foe Lakewood on Thursday evening.
JP Payton added 18 points for the Rebels, who dipped to 2-4 overall and 1-1 against league opposition this season. Luke Britt and Malik Cobb tallied 11 points apiece.
The Rebels face East Duplin on Dec. 29.
