Eastern Wayne grapples with Nash Central, Southern Vance

ROCKY MOUNT -- Eastern Wayne collected 18 individual victories and swept a non-conference tri-meet against Nash Central and Southern Vance on Wednesday evening.
The Warriors defeated Nash Central 47-36 and dispatched Southern Vance 66-16. However, Nash Central and Southern Vance combined to compile a 9-6 record against Eastern Wayne in individual contested bouts.
EW benefited from 12 forfeits.
Cainen Miller, Ryshon Rodwell, Jordan Wooten, Emmanuel Harper, Colby Miller, Equan Tune and Cameron Martin each ended the night 2-0 for the Warriors. Teammates Ian Gutierrez, Dilissus Council, Kris Wells and Jaleek Lewis picked up one win apiece.
The Warriors (7-6 overall) return to the mat Jan. 2, 2016 for the annual Falcon Invitational, which is hosted by county rival Charles B. Aycock.
